Don't let your heart be troubled

My father-in-law uses this quote often. It is a good reminder that no matter how life is going, we have an eternal hope and perspective.

Hi again. We have been a busy family. I'll try to catch you up as I can. We were brave and took the kids camping over a weekend in July.
We found a camp ground that was first come first serve close to Big Bear. It turned out to be beautiful with lots of Pine trees and woods. We went with another family, which was key to having a successful trip. The kids played together and even did dishes together--fighting over who wanted to wash!! We brought the bikes and scooter for Josh. You'll notice he pushes with his left foot. But he is right handed and throws right handed. I think he has some of my dad's ambidtexterity. We went on a snipe hunt, bike rides, and cooked smores. We are ready to go again!! Here is one more picture that my hubby took. It think it could be one of those professional pictures. We had some interesting skies, partly because we were only four miles from having to evacuate for the fires. Thankfully, we could finish our trip.

We are back from Family Camp at Forest Home. It is so wonderful!!! I'll be saying more later, but for now here are some picture highlights of swimming, lake trampoline, zipline, night zipline, horse ride, view from inspiration point and Alisa on the climbing wall.

We've given up trying to find the little creature. We're going to wait it out. Hubby bypassed the smell so we can run our air conditioner. It couldn't have found a worse spot, because it is behind the firewall. You do not want to start drilling holes in it.
